Contrary to popular opinion, tequila is not the only spirit to come from our neighbor to the south, Mexico. South of the border they create a variety of different liquors, with many of them coming from the same plant, the agave. Almost like an aloe and pineapple had a baby, the agave is a strange plant with many uses. The Mexican people have perfected the art of distilling the liquid from the heart of the agave into a variety of spirits, 6 of which you will get to taste in our Tequila Tasting Class.
Smoky, spicy, citrusy; these are all words you'll find to describe the different agave spirits offered in our class. A sip of spirit, a chaser of sangrita, and thoughtful education come together to create a great experience you'll never forget. Our knowledgeable class instructors will teach you the history of agave spirits, the distillation process, the importance of labeling, and much more.
The small class sizes allow for better opportunity to interact one on one with the instructor. Guests will delve into six different pourings of some of the finest and yet most distinct agave spirits and learn to use all five senses when experiencing their first sips.
