This tour has been carefully designed to show you all that Harlem offers. It captures the essence, excitement and flavor of this great community.

The Harlem on Sunday tour focuses on the history and development of Harlem as well as life in Harlem today. It also covers the origins of Gospel as well as the Black Church in America.

Join Harlem on Sunday and learn about Harlem, it's start as a rural Dutch community which transformed into a summer retreat for New York's most prominent families. How it then became a Mecca for African American writers and artists at the turn of the century, to it's troubled past during the 1960's and 1970's. The 80's saw the beginning of rebirth as a massive program of redevelopment began. Harlem became a major tourist attraction as travelers added it to their list of sightseeing "musts," flocking to its churches, nightclubs, restaurants, and museums.

Because of this latest Renaissance, the present day Harlem community is brimming with pride and reveling in it's culture.

After experiencing Harlem in the safety of one of our tours, you will have a new perspective and lasting memories. Come and witness this new renaissance, and see History being made! Make a reservation today to join the Harlem on Sunday tour!
