The tour stops briefly outside each site to hear detailed stories about the history of that place. You will be on your feet for the majority of the tour (90 minutes), but you will be walking at a leisurely pace and will also enter into city parks with benches if you do feel the need to sit down. A 20-minute breakfast stop for coffee and muffins at a local hangout is included. The tour will cover approximately 1 mile and is appropriate for all ages. A fun and interesting way to expose kids to history!

The tour runs in most weather conditions. In the event of unsafe or severe weather, the tour will be canceled, and you can reschedule (subject to availability) or receive credit for a future event. The tour ends at Memphis Civic Plaza on Main Street, approx 7 blocks from the starting point. You can walk or ride the Main Street trolley back to Beale Street. The cost of food or beverages are not included on the tour. The tour route follows city sidewalks and the Main Street pedestrian mall, and should be accessible to most wheelchair users. If you enjoyed the trip, tips are highly appreciated!
